Santa Barbara County has issued an EVACUATION WARNING for the burn scar areas of the Gifford Fire as well as the Lake Fire due to potential flooding, and debris flow until further notice.

San Luis Obispo County authorities have issued a shelter in place for burn scar areas of the Madre Fire in San Luis Obispo County until further notice.

City of Santa Maria offers various locations to pick up FREE sand from, but you must purchase your own bags as the city does not provide sand bags

  • Suey Crossing (at all times)

  • 2000 Block of Western in cul-de-sac (at all times)

  • City Public Works Yard, 830 West Cypress (8AM – 4PM, Monday-Friday except holidays)

  • West Carmen Lane, just west of Depot St. (at all times)

  • San Ysidro St. West of Miller (at all times)
