New Fire Chief Selected for Santa Barbara County
Deputy Fire Chief Garrett Huff Chosen to Succeed Chief Hartwig
SANTA BARBARA CO. — County Executive Officer Mona Miyasato has confirmed Garret Huff as Santa Barbara County’s new Fire Chief effective, Monday December 8, overseeing the duties from Chief Mark Hartwig who is retiring on December 7 after serving six years as County Fire Chief. On November 18th at the County Board of Supervisors Meeting, officials will be ratifying his appointment. Currently, Huff holds the Deputy Chief position at the County Fire Department.
